Lets start with the basics


Water is so fundamental to our bodies and our well-being after all we are made up of 60% water.


“NHS recommendation are for 6-8 glasses of water a day (caffeinated and fizzy drinks don't count)”.

Every single cell in our bodies require water and we need to ensure we are getting enough daily. There are so many chemical reactions going on in our body each second and water is crucial for this.

I've recently read the book 'Your Body's many cries for water' by Dr F Batmanghelidj in which he discusses how a lack of water can lead to a whole host of different symptoms and illness' and how dehydration can affect your health n many levels.

A top tip if you find you aren't drinking enough throughout the day is to attach 8 elastic bands to a bottle of water and as soon as you have finished it you can remove an elastic band. You can also add slices of lemon, lime, orange or even berries and a sprig of mint or basil. Or even add ice cubes to let herbal teas cool and have your very own refreshing iced tea. Great creative and stay hydrated.
