Don’t fall into this diet trap…

With Christmas round the corner, make sure you aren't fooled this festive season.

Most 'diets' work and achieve weight loss in the first few weeks to months for several reasons

They restrict food choices

They help loose water weight

They make you start thinking about your food choices and what you are actually eating (so many of us just eat for the sake of it rather than paying attention to what we put in our mouths)

They cut out/reduce processed foods

BUT....

Ever wondered why there are so many diet fads/books etc? It's because it make money!..it's a multi-million pound business. I am afraid to say it but they don't have your best interests at heart.

They are not designed o be sustainable and they are secretly hoping you 'fall off the wagon' so you buy another book/membership/supplement/food replacement.

The more you restrict yourself the more your body goes into panic mode and guess what..starts building up reserves..fat!

Fad diets only focus on weight loss which is all well and good but by doing it in a dangerous way , you are having a knock on effect to EVERY system of your body and sooner or later you'll find out the hard way the damage that these quick fixes have done. PLEASE don't do this to yourself, you deserve so much better.

The best way to maintain a healthy weight whilst also maintaining a healthy body and mind is to eat nutrient dense foods, these are often more satiating an naturally have lower calories. We are talking beans, pulses, fruit, vegetables etc - the good stuff!

It may take a little longer than your '7-day bikini body crash diet' but I PROMISE you, you will feel so much better for many years to come rather than those few weeks that you struggle through before falling off the wagon.
